Havent we heard enough of Switzerland through out our childhood. Now was the time, we make a visit and let others know :). Prior to starting the trip, we brough a Swiss Train Pass for 7 days, a must for any traveller as it included bus trips, train trips and discounts to most of the activities through out Switzerland. We flew into Zurich and then took a direct train to Interlaken as it was supposed to be our base for the next 7 days. We made many a trips from Interlaken including Engelberg for Mt. Titlis experience by Cable Car. It was beautiful experience for first timer to Alps and the place where lot of Bollywood movies were shot. Plenty of pictures from here before starting the next to Jungfrauch. It was slightly cloudy on this day but it was nice experience to see the Glacier Caves around and all those statues made and maintained in ice. We feated on plenty of Swiss chocolates in this trip. Swiss trains are always on time and with good frequency. We used to make adhoc stops at places we liked for all those pictures and then catch the next train. However we were unlucky with Matterhorn due to the weather conditions.
Apart from all this, we went to Lucerne. We visited the Chapel bridge, the Lion Monument and also took a cruise to appreciate nature at its best. The best part of Switzerland is we never felt tired at any point as the lungs felt very happy due to the quality of air around :). Popular souvenirs include Swiss Cow bell, Army knife, Watches and the Cuckoo clock made of black forest wood. Having a kitchen in our hotel was a blessing. We were a regular with Swiss Cow Milk which is indeed very sweet. So plenty of milk on the trip and so were the milk based chocolates :). Finally on the last day, we visited Rhine falls near Zurich along with a short cruise before heading home. I must admit every village and every town is must see in this beautiful Alps country.
