My Trip Souvenirs
What do I say about Italian food. The varieties of Vegetarian Pizza which you can buy in kilos along with various Gelato Ice creams made this trip very memorable especially for my Son who is a big fan of Italian dishes now. We visited our tour with a trip to Milan to see the Cathedral before proceeding to Venice. Having seen a lot of Venice in various Bollywood movies, we had very high expectations from it. However we didnt like much as the water was stinking in humid weather. So we opted out of the Gondola ride. Probably I picked the wrong season to travel. We visited the San Marco and also picked up the famous Venice masks here. Next on the trip was a short train journey to Pisa to see the Leaning tower and our moment to hold it from falling further :). Pisa is a beautiful town. We also took the opportunity to buy various Italian sculpture of David, Venus, monument replicas in marble stone here
From Pisa, we took a train trip to Rome. Rome made us feel more of India with its Traffic and Mopeds. We visited the Colosseum and the Spanish Steps here. My son dropped a coin in the Trevi fountain to hint Italy of his return to enjoy the food again. A very satisfying trip and beautiful monuments and sculptures all around. We might return one fine day for the Tuscan Trails and also for the Cooking experience as there is plenty of pressure from the younger one at home :)
