We went to Beirut, Baalbek and Byblos for a 4 day trip. on the first day, we made a trip to Baalbek which is around 80 Kms from Beirut. Baalbek is famous for the well preserved Roman ruins and the Temple of Jupiter. After this, we spent rest of the time in Beirut for the dinner and shopping. Next day morning we saw the Pigeon rocks near the Corniche and also the Lady of Lebanon. Beirut is full of Cedar trees. Next day early morning we visited one of the proposed wonder Jeita Grotos which is an underground cave with all limestone formations. Post this we went to Byblos to see the Pheonican ruins and a famous souk out there. However I must admit the presence of army throughout Beirut was bit scary as was all the damaged buildings from the war. There is no questioning the Lebanese food though :)
