We made 5 day visit to Kyrgyzstan via FlyDubai. The key objective was to experience the life of a Nomad in one of the tented camps also called Yurt. On our arrival, we spent time visiting Osh bazaar to pick up some dry fruits along with some local souvenirs. Later on we went to Al Archa National park to soak in the nature and have fresh air. I understand that this park looks amazing in winter with all the snow around. Next day we started towards Son Kul Lake which requires around 6 hours from Bishkek. On our way we made a stop at Burana tower which is an UNESCO site as the area hosted an ancient Civilisation. We encountered lots of double hump Camels on our way. We took plenty of stops and took pictures of Mountains as Kyrgyzstan is famous for mountains and these mountains appear unique in terms of their texture and varying colours. Pictures below should speak for themselves. Finally after a long trip we made to Son Kul lake locked between the mountains. Our driver ensured a neat Yurt for us along with Nomads who speak English. We camped here for the next day and half. I should admit this is a total different experience cut off from the world and internet services and just surrounded by mountains and few people. Just time for yourself. We were offered fresh lake fish and plenty of tea all the time as weather indeed is very chilled around this area.
After saying goodbye to Son Kul we started towards Issy Kul lake which is the second largest in the world after the Lake Titiaca in Peru. On our way to Issy Kul, we made a quick stop at Jetty Oguz to see 7 hills or 7 sisters as they say locally. Mid way, we had to make an overnight halt at Karakol which is also a Skiing resort. My bad that I had not planned properly for this place as it appeared very scenic :(. After the morning breakfast, we started and en route made a stop at Chopon Ata to see the Petroglyphs. Post this we reached Issy Kul around mid noon and I must mention that this lake appears as big as Sea stretching all across the naked eye could see. After stopping for pictures , we proceeded to the Dead Lake which is rich in minerals and also one gets to float in the water similar to the Dead sea in Jordan.
After the Dead Lake, we headed straight to Supara Chunkurchak which is an eco resort modelled after the yurts at 40+ Kms from Bishkek and on top of mountains. Unfortunately couldnt spot the Milkway as it was cloudy during the night. The resort offered us an unique experience to taste Horse milk. So overall the trip was very satisfactory as this place is only to enjoy the nature untouched. So one shouldnt expect much from this place and take things the way it comes and Naturally :).
