My Trip Souvenirs
We started our Moroccan experience with a trip to Casablanca and its famous mosque (pic on all the Moroccan notes). Post that we started our journey towards the pink city Marrakesh by car. We had a good knowledgeable driver with us. After a long journey over the Atlas Mountains with plenty of Orange trees lined up, we reached Marrakesh and were put up in a Riad (Morooccan villa). These Riads are an experience in itself with all the rich and unique designs. A must indeed.
In the evening, we spent our time at Jemma el Fna, a gastronomical discovery with huge variety of Moroccan food including the couscous and all kind of souvenirs that includes leather products, lanterns, metal works etc. One of the huge and best open souks that I have ever visited.
Post all the above, we had a very long ride for the Sahara safari which was an out of the world experience with a night in the beautiful desert. We did have an hour plus Camel drive and feasted on the Tagine cooked freshly in the desert.
Morocco is also lined up with the Kasbahs all around. Some of these were a backdrop in the movie Gladiator. Happy browsing.
