We had been to Georgia for 5 day trip in November. We flew into Tbilsi by Fly Dubai. Tbilsi has plenty to offer for a quick and short trip. On day 1 where in we arrive in the evening, we directly hit the Sulphur baths to de-stress ourselves. Next day we went to the ancient monasteries of Jvari and Anunaya. After the monasteries we went to Gudauri for some fun in the snow. One can go for skiing if you have longer time in Gadauri. Later on in the day we reached Kazbegi in the Caucasus mountains. One has to take a special vehicle to reach to the hill top for the monastery. Post this, we started for the long way back to Tbilsi. On the way we bought some natural honey from the mountains. I must admit Kazbegi is indeed situation in beautiful setting and makes for lovely post cards. Next day we spent our time in Mashketa, the old capital of Georgia will full of ancient churches We happened to some shopping here that included Georgian carpets and Walnut tree wood works.
On the food side, one should try out the Georgian style pizza, the Kachapuri. Georgian wines are very cheap and heavy on alcohol. One can taste different varieties at the restaurants before choosing anything. If interested you could also go on wine tasting tours. We spent one day in the city shopping for the jackets and woolen wears. Overall a very satisfactory trip for the entire family.
