We have visited Puducherry / Pondicherry couple of times. Being a French Colony earlier, One can see a lot of French styled homes decorated with Bougainvillae in Puducherry. Aurobindo Ashram is a must. This place is full of hotels managed by Aurobindo Ashram and is well maintained and light on pocket. Fuel is cheap in this Union Territory.
